A Letter from the President

I would like to thank all of you that were able to come out and participate in our first PTO meeting.  This year we're asking all of our Barnaby Manor families to support the PTO by joining and paying PTO membership dues.

This year the dues is $5.00 per person.  You can visit our website @ www.bmanorpto.com , print off the membership form and send it to school with your child along with the membership fee.  We will send home a receipt to verify that we have received the payment.  Your PTO membership card will be sent home by your child.  Please hold on to your receipt.

THANK YOU for supporting our spare change Monday.  The kids are excited and your support is very much appreciated.  Thus far Mr. Jones class is in first place,  Mrs. Ledbetter's class is in second place & Mrs. Concepcion class is in third place.  These results can change on next Monday; please send any spare change you have to school every Monday.

We still have used uniforms available.  Please send a note to the attention of the PTO with your childs name, size and teachers name.  We will discretely send the uniform home.

 Spare Change Mondays

A weekly campaign where parents and students are encouraged to bring in spare change.  The class who raises the most money at the end of the month will receive a Snack Pack on Fun Friday.

Please send any loose change with your child to school every Monday

FYI

Prince Georges County will be onsite to do fingerprints for parents on December 2nd from
5:30 pm - 8:00 pm.  The cost is $8.00 per person.  Parents must do this in order to chaperone school field trips.

Also that evening there will be a Gingerbread House Making with the Families.  Parents must
RSVP Ms. Jewel the parent liaison by November 21, 2008.  They can also RSVP by sending a email to the PTO.

Ident-A-Kid will be available on December 12, 2008 at 1pm.  This is a great opportunity for families to get ID cards for children. The costs for the cards are economically priced at 1 card $9, 2 cards $12 and 4 cards $15.

"According to sources, nearly a million children are reported lost, missing, or separated from their parents each year. Should this happen to your child, you will be ready to provide law enforcement officials with vital information about your child by participating in the Ident-A-Kid Program."  For more information on how this is a most valuable investment and how it can benefit you and your child, visit
